Students at Western Michigan University that want to keep playing hockey competitively have the opportunity to with The American Collegiate Hockey Association, or ACHA.
WMU’s Division 3 team, which started in 2017, is one of two club hockey teams at WMU. There are around 70 students between the two teams that are almost entirely player funded. The clubs give athletes the opportunity to to compete against other club teams from different schools around Michigan and occasionally in other states.
